Two weddings in two days?! That’ exactly what Stephanie and Matt did with their coastal inspired Long Beach Island Wedding. When this couple began dreaming of their perfect fall wedding, family tradition was paramount and they knew they had to have two weddings. Both Stephanie and Matt had dreamed of tying the knot at places important to each of their families. However, since both special spots were an hour and a half apart, Stephanie and Matt made the most logical choice which was to host two weddings over two days!
For Matt, his parents and older sister had been married at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Riverton, New Jersey. He knew how much it would mean to be married there as well.
It’s common today to have a weekend-long wedding celebration, whether that’s a welcome party the day before your wedding or a brunch the day after your wedding. Your wedding day goes by so fast, to have a whole weekend for your guests and families to celebrate being together is the way to go (in my humble opinion). Therefore, Stephanie and Matt invited their family and wedding party to celebrate their marriage ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by a welcome party in Long Beach Island, open to all guests.
For Stephanie, her family had been members of the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club for 3 generations and a wedding in Beach Haven would fulfill all of her lifelong dreams.
So, on the twenty first day of Septembahhh, they did their full hair-and-make-up, wedding party photos, first-look, traditional wedding day and invited their larger guest list to attend. They had a marriage blessing in Long Beach Island, followed by a getaway boat ride for the whole wedding party. After the boats docked at Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club, they made their grand entrance at the for the reception of Stephanie’s dreams.
Stephanie and Matt chose to share a first look, a private first look provides the just the two of you a moment to take in and savor #allthefeelings of the day.
Stephanie and Matt took weekly dance lessons to learn a choreographed first dance and surprise all of their guests. They chose the first song they sent to each other in high school for their first dance: Never Stop (wedding version) By Safety Suit. These two nailed the whole routine, especially their final dip!
Stephanie and Matt’s wedding weekend was full of emotion from the moment they entered Sacred Heart to their sparkler exit at the Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club. They gracefully blended family traditions, celebrated in a way that was true to both of them, and honored a love they built over ten years. Congratulations, sweet friends. Your love is incredible and your wedding weekend was an honor to witness!
